According to GameWatch (Japanese), there are a lot of new power adapters for the latest portable gaming devices. The most interesting, of course, is an external battery extender that is estimated to power the PSP for approximately 25 hours. While the adapter is not directly made for the PSP, it is very well able to plug into the DC power port of the unit itself. Tests were run, showing that the PSP ran for 18hrs 30mins on the stock battery (out of the box, not fully charged). So, the PSP will be able to run, on the fully charged battery plus the adapter, for a total of around 25 hours.

I can only think of a few problems:
1) It's external, so you'd had to shove it in another pocket if you wanted to play on the go.
2) It's a little weighty. Again, though, if it's in your pocket, then it should not matter.

However, it does come with a $76USD (40GBP) pricetag, which is actually not too bad. What do you guys think?

Quotes from the articles:

GameWatch (Translated)
Quote:
When in beginning it tries testing with the genuine battery of the full charge being completed, until power source is cut off with the battery being cut off, time was 4 hour 20 minutes. Next, connecting "MyBattery Pro" of the full charge being completed to PSP where the genuine battery remaining amount becomes 0%, it does the same test. As a result, also 18 hour 30 minutes which reach 4 times that or more of the genuine battery continued to operate! In other words, if full it combines with the genuine battery which was charged, circular 1 day it can the fact that you play at outside.

The external battery is connected through the normal DC port. Whilst the original PSP battery only packs 1,800mA of power, the PSP battery pack holds 4,400mA. During tests the pack was able to achieve 18hours 30min after the stock battery had run out. So with the stock battery fully charged, the PSP will be able to go for 1 full day.
The battery retails for 8,000yen ($76, 40GBP)

Battery Extender - 25 hours?!

This Battery promises more power for the DS then the og. It's also not so huge.

Anyone try this one?

At $13 (US) it's much more reasonable.

if anyone knows if this works well, I'd like to know...
I'm considering buying one...

Well, that's cool... the problem is that it'll now cost about $500 (CAN) if I want it. ;____;
