Final Fantasy 8 on psp crashes

Hey guys
When I play FF8 for my psp it keeps freezing during the battle with the "president" and it freezes at different parts of the battle (when I use summons/magic)
has anyone else had this problem?
and if you had and you resolved it
please tell me how

Same here. It's a real ***** -- but I managed to go to the end of Disk 1. I don't believe the 3.40 POPs patch really did any help. Gotta wait for another update, I'm afraid.

And its weird....
I was also playing it on the PC and it also crashesat the President battle sometimes.......
