Getting The PSP!

As much as it hurts me, I am going to buy the PSP. Please tell me your opinions, as I am your Nintendo FanBoy, and I need help, because I think I am going to buy it.

Who cares? If you enjoy games, I would expect you to get a psp, I know I am.

screw whoever says you shouldn't. Even if you were only going to buy either the ds or the psp, i'd still tell you to buy the psp. more innovative games will come out on the psp.

But definately get the PSP, based on the fact that you enjoy playing video games.

I know I'll be buying both a PSP and a DS, and also possibly a Gizmondo.

LOL. Mahjong, racing games, GTA... Sounds like a pretty original lineup for me. Even now, the DS already has Warioware Touched, Feel the Magic, Jam with the Band... all of which are in all likelihood more original than anything that will come out of the PSP.

I respect your opinion that the PSP is the better platform, but originality and innovation are going to be for the DS, not the PSP, by virtue of the input methods (touchscreen, microphone).

I think he meant more innovative games will come out on the DS. Touchscreen = default innovation factor.

I say heck yes buy a PSP. Buy Ridge Racers when you get it. Don't buy Gizmondo though. It's going for more of a PDA image but why not spend $500 instead of $460 and get a brand new Dell Axim that has a 624 MHz proc and 256 MB ram/memory and has WifFi? And did I mention a 640x480 resoultion screen? Just in case you don't realize what that last thing means, a large amount of compys today run at 640x480, and when you shrink that 15-19 inch display down to 4 inches... wow super hi-res.

Actually, 1024x768 takes up 50% of PC users, 800x600 takes up about 30%, higher resolutions about 17%, and 640x480 is about 2%. With that said, there aren't really a large amount of PC's still using 640x480 these days. I use 1024x768 myself.
