PSP E-Distribution
March 14, 2006 - Sony's Ken Kutaragi continues to drop PlayStation Portable news during the company's PlayStation Business Briefing 2006 as he's just announced that the PSP will see "E-Distrubution" features added sometime in the future.
Users will be able to boot software directly from their Memory Stick, all official-like this time around (you know what I mean). The first major announcement for use of this will be a series of PSOne games - yes, you will be able to download classic PlayStation titles and play them on your PSP. No word yet as of whether or not you'll be able to transfer games directly via disc or not, or which games we should see first, but more news on this as it comes in. PSP IGN Source woah, it looks like Sony still wants to compete with Ninty :O |

I hate all this stuff about 'attempting to invade 'insert company who you are fanboy to here' territory'crap. I dont know weather alot of you are being serious or not, but ive seen alot of fanboys being serious, how the heck will their be competetion if there arnt people invading others 'territory' its so pathetic. No company would be as good as they are today if there was competetion. So please quit the crap, its silly, childish, pointless and down right ignorant.
(and no pilot, its not directed at you, mostly alot of people and not jus nintendo fanboys, people who use what ivej ust said in the context ive stated).

I see your point, but unlike most companies (PC software companies come to mind), Nintendo hasn't been monopolizing with high prices or poor quality products, so I think the competition of Sony would effect Nintendo either slightly better, or if Sony manages to get the upper hand (a huge risk considering all the Sony types out there and the vast supply of money Sony has) Nintendo could easily make a turn for the worse in their attampts to make a comeback (I've seen some of it already). Yes, competition is good for almost every industry, but in this case I just don't think it'll make Nintendo much better than it would've been otherwise, and the risk of turning them sour is a scary thought.
