Let me ammend your post. If you've got got a lot of money to spend AND ALREADY HAVE A DS, i suggest getting one.

id say get both if u can but if not:
DS:cause u like nintnedo games(mario, animal crossing, kirby), and u like innovative things
or
PSP:cause u have a ton of money, u like extra media, u want a portable movie player, and u like ps2 games...

Basically, multiple media uses: go for the PSP.
Straight to the games: go for the DS.

Plus there's the part where if you like good graphics... etc.
