I was just wondering :? , PSP has a wireless LAN switch. Is it like an internet, or is it similar to the DS's short-range? :?:

PSP's wireless LAN

i think its better than the DS's, like a couple hundred feet if im not mistaken.. but itll probably take a lot more battery power to run it, which is why nintendo didnt use it

That's true. Sony officially confirmed that the battery is 4-6 hours with lots of things turned off, including the LAN. :D

Actually. Wrong. PSP uses the same standerd for WLAN which is 802.11. That works on 2.4Ghz frequance so gives a similar lengths. It is true that such a signal can be amplified but that on another hand is limited by FCC. It is possible but not necesserily true. I guess we just have to wait and see.

Is there any way to amplify the DS's wireless feature as 60 foot is a bit rubbish. Yes i know DS has internet capabilities but not all of has a Router ya' know.

So far it involves opening your DS. I bet this would be already compleated if somebody would want to do this. There are also other ways. However most of ideas for external signal boosting are rediculus, or expensive.
