For those of you who use the size of the DS as an argument against it, put this in your pipe and smoke it! :P

Yeah, that is a pretty immpressive screen. Still, the PSP is massive, short battery life, faults....

RE: revolution evolution

The disk reader just kils the battery life... They are sacrificing gameplay for the sake of battery life... Just read interviews for MGA, that's the reason that they are making it a strategy, less direct video streaming, so less disk spinning. It really sucks that they are toting their good graphics when you lose batery life to get it.

Nintendo is taking it slow, and as they've proven many times already, slow is safe. All their competition made huge jumps in handheld power surpassing the Nintendo handheld of the time, but as we see over and over, those big jumps kill battery life and make the system fail. Huge screen, current generation console graphics, massive storage, brighter backlight, etc. all kill battery life. Not to mention they use 802.11 for all wireless, which also kills battery life considerably, Nintendo made their own wireless format to save battery life when playing with other DS's.

Can you say n-gage? The n-gage had graphics that were better for the time being, and it was a cell phone... seemed like a great idea until it costs an ass-load and the screen is 1 inch by 1 inch. And it failed...

BUT, im not saying the PSP will fail like the n-gage did.

RE: Uh... Online at launch?

Err...Nintendo uses 802.11b, so watch your facts Pilot. Otherwise, all is well with your argument.

RE: Uh... Online at launch?

The only thing about the PSP's size is that it it wider. It is approximately the same height as a [closed] DS (give or take a fraction of an inch). Not much bigger, besides the fact that it is wider.

RE: Re: RE: Re: Dude... PSP Pwns

so how many pixels of screen realestate does a DS push in comparison the PSPs? I realize the PSP has the biggest contiguous display, but who's actually pushing the most pixels all together?
