I don't know about you, but I've played console controls for quite a while before I got into PC. I played lots of bond, even some halo, but after I got used to the PC controls, these just seem idiotic. I always have too look down and think about it.

Ah, I see you haven't mastered the "quick-change." :P

See, I can play FPS on PC and consoles just fine, WITHOUT having to look down at the controls. It's all about honing your skills so that you can seamlessly transition from control scheme to control scheme.

And that, my friends, is how to create proper harmony.

BTW: SM, did you get UT2k4 yet? I'd like to play you some time. 8)

RE: Sony in Deep... um... Shizno?

Oh crap, I was supposed to go with my friend to get it today. I better call him. And yes, you will die... Now, about that pocket business. Why doesn't someone create a system with PC-like controls, so that it would work better? Touch screen you say? Metroid?

I meant as a portable device, like chuddy's point that you can't put a PC in your pocket.

I can't really master the "quick-change" to console, although I see that as "getting through the learning curve during a 2 hour playing session at a friends house", which is about as long as I've ever played a console FPS (it was Halo). I think it only took a few minutes if anything to learn MPHFH, I don't remember being unfamiliar with the DS controls. As for PC, it takes almost no transition between games aside from some control customizing if the default feels stupid (only a few games have stupid feeling control defaults).

Anyway, don't leave me out on UT2k4!
