Wipeout Pure will have custom soundtracks. The machine will actually come with firmware 1.52 as standard, and - The update to 2.0 will be included on the demo disk with the machine. Thankfully, there's no region encoding on games, but - There is region encoding on movies. UK machines are region 4. No Japanese movies, then, as far as we can tell. Online gaming requires registration on a special website - so little chance of playing against US/JP gamers. The Spiderman 2 UMD is not in the box, but via an online registration offer. thoughts?

That's pretty shoddy not being able to play with American and Japanese players. Half of the beauty of it is playing against people hundreds upon thousands of miles away from you - I certainly hope that Nintendo don't do anything similar with the DS, I'm really looking forward to playing some of you guys...

You can import games, but movies are region coded.
