Play-Yan RECALL

You can ship back your PSP to Sony to get a completley free new one back if your Square button sticks a lot. This is a Japan-only thing currently. Sorry importers! :(

Sony are much more like a western bussiness, greedy and not concerned with doing what's good for their customers, I'm really liking nintendo right now.

Re: RE: The PC

See, that's what consumers get. It's the inside that counts, man! THE INSIDE!!! *cries*

The PSP may looks like a hot naked sexay nice tight babe but inside, it's just... fat biatch.

But the DS is an ugly fat tub of lard but inside... Marry Poppins. =)

Yeah..... >_>

PSP Replacement Program in Japan
For those Japanese PSP units with a stuck square button.
by Anoop Gantayat
February 22, 2005 - Following critical reports of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan's handling of PSP hardware defects, the company opened up just a bit more today on one defect in particular. A small number of PSP systems have shipped with a defective square button that likes to go in and never come back out. SCE has announced that it will replace, at no cost (even shipping will be covered) units that have this defect.

This offer is only for those with Japanese addresses, so PSP importers are out of luck. If you happen to have this problem with your PSP, and you live in Japan, check out the SCE repair page for further details and an address.
SCE points out that only early shipments contained units with this button problem. The problem has since been fixed, meaning you won't run into the problem if you buy the system now.

Yeah but the problem is the consumers shouldn't have to do it. They have to all the trouble in sending it out, losing almost 2 days of game play! TWO DAYS! AHHH!!

Well good on sony. I have no problem with getting something that has a few problems with the inital release as long as the company do something about it and don't try and sweep it under the rug. My first Game cube was faulty. It was replaced, no problem. Sony have admitted they have done bad and are making up for it. Good on em i say.
