I was browsing around, and to my suprise, the PSP's defects have been slash dotted! After viewing the site in question, I was suprised to find out that one such defect is actually intentional!

Take a look at This Picture and take note of the red lines which show how all the buttons, and their actual contacts line up. If you look at the Square button, ([]), you'll notice that it's barely over it's contact, and if depressed, would never cover more than 50% of the contact.

This design flaw has been associated to the Square button's problem of becoming stuck as well.

Now, add this problem on top of the already known problems of air bubbles in the screen, dead pixels coming in threes, analog nub not really being analog, analog not working, nub falling off, psp powering on but not starting, flying umds, and you start to wonder, why hasn't Sony made a press release on this yet?

Nintendo made a press release about DS' dead pixels within the week of launch, if not by just a day or two. I guess this goes to prove that one company is after your money, while the other is out to give you exactly what you've paid for. I'll let you decide which is which.

If you'd like to read more about the PSP's defects, you can find the original article Here.

RE: Megaman Battle Network DS box art...

Maybe it was just that one PSP, but still they should be more careful and not rush.

I thought so too, but then I looked at LikSang's page of their psp shots and noticed that their IC board for the square button is exactly the same as the one pictured with the problem, ergo, they're all like this... :(

Look at the 4 contacts, they don't form a square when all four points are connected, they more closely resemble a "D" shape.

Woah, the Square button looks completely off-center. That's one flaw that really gives Sony a swift kick in the rear.

"Wasn't this revealed as a hoax?"

Haha yeah people produced those boards within a few days ( and before) the PSP release just to spread **** about sony..??...

People will not mutilate, break or fake things wrong with their PSP's that are worth allot on the current market. Sadly this is what those 200,000 people bought for their hard earned money.

I would like to believe so, because I very much want a PSP. Unfortunately, you can see that the button ic board in this lik-sang picture are exactly the same as the one listed on the site which divulges the psp's flaws.

I highly doubt Lik-sang of all people would purposely NOT want to sell more psp's. No?
