stop saying that psp games are going to suck

I think the PSP has beautiful graphics, but no way will I get one.

I think I'm right in saying that there has never really been a successful sports game on a handheld. I've enjoyed a couple of tennis games, but nothing have really blown me away. You need a large screen for that and although the PSP has one, compared to the average TV, it's nothing.

I've had a look at the games coming out for both the PSP and DS, as I was leaning towards the PSP at first, but my opinion has totally changed.

I asked where the killer games were on the PSP and the answers were: Grand Theft Auto PSP, Devil May Cry 3 and also Final Fantasy VII:Advent Children. GTA is one of the most over-rated games EVER in my opinion, Devil May Cry 3 is coming out on the PS2 anyway and Final Fantasy VII... well, it's a movie which is coming out on DVD at some point.

There's only one game which interests me on the PSP and that's Core Crisis, another sequal from FFVII. That's not enough to make me buy an expensive console and not even a couple of Ratchet&Clanks would sway my decision.

ON THE OTHER HAND...

The Nintendo DS is a "poorer" system out of the box, despite Pictochat, but when the games come out it's really going to rock. Are PSP owners going to have fun such as I will with Warioware, Mario Kart and the two Final Fantasies planned for release? I doubt it....

You have some good points there, it looks like the majority of PSP games will be either ported off the PS2 or will be coming out on the PS2 aswell. Where as, the DS offers you an experience you cannot have anywhere else.

True, but those were from MULTIPLE systems, as opposed to one system.
N64, GC, GBA, Mobile, All - That's approx. 6 different systems.

Spider-Man 2-All consoles - nope, this version is built around the DS
Madden-All consoles
Wario Ware--GBA - Nope, I believe this version is exclusive to the DS
Mario Kart--N64 -- Pretty sure it's not a port of the N64 version, but could be wrong

I'm sorry, but it's a known fact: the new strategy in handheld gaming is to create the home console experience on the road. Thus, tweaking exisitng games. End of story.

Keep in mind, there is a big difference between porting an old game ex, Super Mario 64 DS, and just having a lincess to use characters that appear in other games ex, Spider Man 2 (DS)

We already know that. Why do you think the GBA was so popular? They tweaked many old games from Nintendo's older systems and put them on to the GBA.

We probably will, but likely it will be in a 2d form. To be honest I couldn't care less. As I said in there, GTA has got to be one of the most over-rated game series that I've played.
