PSP battery life: (seen on ign.com)
Running ridge racers with backlight and speakers - 3 hours 32 minutes.
Running vampire chronicles with "attract mode" (demo mode) - 5 hours 9 minutes.
Running in sleep mode(everything off) - over 24 hours.
WiFi gameplay - 2 hours 46 minutes.
MP3 playback - 10 hours 39 minutes.

Im not gonna go into detail dissing the PSP here but i must say the battery life is pretty bad.

if you want to see this for yourself go to http://psp.ign.com/articles/574/574557p1.html

What's amazing is the fact that you find those specs "bad," because they're taken from the most psp biased site on the internet. IGN tries very had to paint the BEST CASE SCENARIO for the psp, but who's honestly going to leave it on in demo mode for 24 hours, and why does gamestop's battery estimations come out to only 90 minutes of game time with RidgeRacers, and HALF THAT TIME WITH WIFI ON?

Kudos to you for already seeing through their lies :)

I suppose it doesnt matter ill wait to actually try it out b/f I make my final descision. I wont mind if it charges quickly and are able to use it while its plugged into the wall. 300 dollars is steep though and if I dont get one (at least right away anyways) it is because of that.

The DS battery is replaceable. It's very easy to do so.

Who would like to come up with some stats for the DS battery so we can compare? Play until red light, not until the unit dies.

If I get a PSP, I'll be sure to keep the backlight off or on low... battery conservation tactics.

That sounds like fun leaving a new ds and a new psp on for like 20 hours.
