I, of course, am in no way implicating that four generations of nintendo games are eclipsed by these.
See, that's all I'm saying. Well said SM.

But yeah, something tells me that unlike Revolution, the PS3 isn't going to be BC w/ it's previous system's controllers, which means no Guitar Hero and no DDRs...

I'm not entirly sure that's true.. I know PS2 is backward compatable with PS1 controllers, stands to reason PS3 will work with PS2/1.

I would guess, that if it isn't backwards compatable out of the box, you will be able to buy a third party attachment.

I also wanted to suggest that the Nintendo Download service, is just Ninty version of http://www.gametap.com.
I also wanted to remind you of Sega Channel
http://www.sega-16.com/Feature-%20Sega%20Channel.htm

Keep in mind this was 1993, so A FEW of you we're just born when this came out.

But I've got a couple questions for you guys.

1) Assuming that Sega games can be downloaded to the revolution, will you now call it backwards compatable with SEGA Genesis? (why / why not)

2) Would you call this little device has limited backward compatability with Sega Genesis? (Why / why not)

I would say if Sega Genesis games were purchasable on the Revolution, then yes, I would say the Revolution is backwards compatible with the Sega Genesis, as awkard as that may seem...

Mr.Cool is an unknown quantity at this point
mine is Nintendo becasue with the Rev. will ahve better backwards comaptabillity than all of them. I mean, they can't even get FULL backwards comaptabillity. For example, the 360, only a few select game are compatable. PS3 I think is the same way, but they still have some time to change it.
