I believe we did look it up. I believe the Wikipedia article even used Revolution as an example.

Windows is not backwards compatible. The emulators are third party, to say the least. Not to mention it's slightly illegal...

Not quite...

"The Library of Congress has recently granted copyright exemptions in the Digital Millenium Act to obsolete games. The exemption applies to games that require the original hardware as a condition of access, and if the game is 'no longer manufactured or reasonably available in the commercial marketplace.'"

Bottom line: emulation is legal for older systems...until the Revolution releases...

However, fischju is still wrong because the emulators are not a part of Windows, therefore you cannot acredit Windows with that BC. Plus Windows sucks...

Windows remains the #1 platform for gaming. Where've you been, a techless cave for the past 20 years?

No, the DS is currently the #1 platform for gaming. The PC has plenty of titles I enjoy, but in no way is it the biggest or close to best platform. Many games can be played on Linux now too BTW.

Windows still sucks. Games are only on Windows because they are forced to be. As an OS, Windows is the worst one on the market, hands-down...

(I will admit however that I'm getting Windows Vista just for Halo 2. However, that's only because my hatred for Windows is narrowly outshined by my disgust for the Xbox. Plus, I suck w/o a keyboard and a mouse)

I may be a gamer first, but I'm a techie second, and the progammer in me despises Windows...

I really dislike windows. But hey, I'm not going to hassle with Linux, and as a gamer...

As to your quote... That applies to discontinued hardware, correct? So since the PS1 has been discontinued, it would be legal to download a PS1 ROM?
