Hey, (correct me if im wrong)
but I think sont ran out of ideas (good ideas) after ps1:

Same Name, eg playstation 1 2 ect
Same controller
Disc/s compatability
Same Games
Same Prices for each (ps2 1000 in aus, ps3 1000 in aus)
And also copying from other gaming companies to steal an idea...
( Nintendo was in development of the Wii controller when Sony stood up and said "we are ALSO making a motion sensetive controler, but ours will involve no movement whats so ever, and that is the reason we have taken out the rumble feature.")
