I don't think it'll help because you have to pay for the vids and if they are a lot of "points" then it might not help at all. Looking at the price of the PS3 and the sales will definitely raise the price of those Video downloads.

Of topic abit...
But the Wii can do that aswell (well is going to) ur able to by a DVD attachment or download it from the Wii store so it can play DVDs and stuff like that (case it already has a dvd drive in there) So screw ps3

Is it just me, or is the PS3 becoming more and more like the 360 every day? I'm sure microsoft has done something similar to this already.

They've been having these movie downloads since launch of the 360 so it's a definite that Sony is just sopying off of every little thing that Microsoft does but changing a little something to make it look different. It's pretty sad if you think about it.

Sony looks at the successes of other companies and uses it as their own slightly modified innovations. I notice they're in complete denial when they know they can't match up to the competition, such as when they said PSP was unrivaled at I think it was E3 2005, or how they brag about their "6-Axis" as if they were the first and only company to make a tilt sensitive controller great for driving games.
