Silvarion is an unknown quantity at this point
this is just my opinion:
Graphics: PSP-10 DS-8 they both have some great graphics capabilities being the first major 3d systems on the market but psp is just clearer and has better graphics

Games: PSP-8 DS-7 Well, the PSP had a lot of release games but only like 4 interesting ones to me... the DS didn't release much and has been coming out with some worse off games, but Rayman was a great start and metroid and goldeneye are going to be worth the wait.

Control/playability: PSP-7 DS-10 the analog stick seems to take forever to get used to, and cmon analog control vs. innovative touch control...touch wins hands down.

Sound: PSP/DS: 9 well i dont care about music in video games much. the psp DOES have better sound in my opinion, but since the DS can't play movies it aint really a fair comparison.

Durability: PSP-5 DS-9 well we all know you've been waiting for this. The DS is much more durable and already has a cover. I've personally dropped my PSP however on a floor once and nothing got scratched or broke soooo it aint too bad i guess. but my sis has dropped my ds several times and nothing has happened so duh it wins.

Variety of media available: PSP-10 DS-7 THe PSP wins this category. YOu can download music and clips from the internet. It also plays full length movies as well. However, on the other hand, the DS has released (or is releasing) games that appeal to all audiences of players.

Overall: if you have the money, buy both. if you have enough for a PSP and you're an older audience, get it. otherwise get a DS. THe DS is an awesome system, but the PSP is capable of so much more.

feel free to oppose me or post ur comments here.

DS will win short term? how does that work? sony is releasing all their good games early, but the DS's games come out way later. the DS is more long-term

RE: favorite bands or singers?

I think the PSP will win, just because it's sony. As much as i want the DS to win, the PSP will be in everyones hand by the end of the year. E3 is just around the corner (well, the other side of the globe for me) so i'll wait till then. Thats when the fun begins.

They're both good... In their ways, but the DS should win, but people are afraid of trying something new by now...
