RE: Re: RE: NDS online (Nintendo DS Wifi Stick)

It's funny how this site is turning into a psp forum site....

I think that anyone who says that the PSP sucks either:

already bought the ds and knows it stinks, but doesn't want to admit it so they join an NDS forum site and criticize the PSP

or..

Has no clue to what the PSP actually is

And you can't say that the PSP has a sucky line up....if anything....that was the case with NDS...(besides SM64)..i admit that is a great game! ................on the other hand...PSP has NFSU Rivals, NBA street 2, THUG 2, Twisted Metal, NFL Street 2, as well as GTA, its just a matter of time before you start belive that the PSP OWNS BY FAR....

and i can understand if you're a fanatic of nintendo and cannot realize that PSP will dominate...visually, and with gameplay, and battery, soo what! get a DC cigarette lighet adapter for long trips...solves it!

Hehe i've tested both systems, then i decided to buy ds because it owned psp easily. Maybe u have bought psp and seen that it sucks and now u are whining about ds. And PSP will own the gameplay? Hell no. You must be nuts to think that... or a Sony fanboy.

RE: ACDC

To be honest we were all a little suprised to see Sony entering the handheld market after Nintendo has been the only one stuck in there. At first, honestly, we were all hardcore Nintendo fans that hated the idea of Sony making an appearence but now we have eased a little on the defensive side of things and actually respecting Sony for their attempts no matter how silly they may appear to be.

Be grateful that we are actually talking about and discussing the PSP because PSP fan sites will flame if you mention NDS, Nintendo or even PSP isn't good. Anyway it makes it a whole lot more interesting having two sides of the arguement on this site, rather than one biased one.

Hm. Your poll seems to prove against your post. Also, I own a DS... It rocks! I play it constantly. Maybe after you actually get a PSP.... Nah, won't go there. If it was (much) cheaper I might get a PSP, but I am not loaded, and I already have a DS.

I don't see anything innovative in the PSP, except a few minor things like the UMD and it's all-in-oneness (which I don't need BTW since I don't care for movies/music very much and I can do the same thing with the DS for cheaper). The DS has everything for a PC gamer, especially being the mouse-like control of the touch screen. I don't see what all the hype is about the analog stick, it has a huge lack of control compared to the touch screen and would probably only be good for genres that use joysticks such as flight sims.
Also, gameplay goes before graphics when you're a real gamer. Nintendo is more for those real gamers and Sony is more for the new age gamers that almost always go for graphics first.
Yes, I haven't touched the PSP yet, but you don't need to touch something that you already know has a lack of the qualities a real gamer wants in order to know if it's actually worth it, and that $250 price tag means I'm definitely not getting it. I don't think you can name a single thing on the PSP that actually improves gameplay more than the DS (I'm not talking graphics, mind you).

Actually the reason I'm going for the DS is because it's a step in the right direction in doing what is best for the customer, I'm a firm believer in the free-software movement that has produced stuff like GNU/Linux, firefox, kde, gnome, mysql, apache, gcc && many other pieces of great software that respect a persons freedom.
With the Nintendo DS' shared multiplayer function it's a great step towards doing what is good for the customer instead of trying to find more ways to squeeze money out of everyone.
I'm not getting a PSP because it is too DRM ridden (digital rights management). I used to be a sony fanboy, not anymore, screw sony, they are just another company trying to get a monopoly.
The DS is also very innovative, and if used well could change how games are played, when I get my DS it'll be my first piece of Nintendo hardware ever, and I'm looking forward to it.
