RE: who go the ds

...Of my DS. I know games don't come out till feb and march but i dont see me having a blast with DS. Like what sony or nintendo said..i forgot who. The PSP will appeal to 17 and up and the DS will be with the youth. Sadly, I feel that the PSP appeals to me. Hopefully one day when FF:CC I'll have a different opinion again but until then, I'm putting my DS away like my Xbox and Importing a PSP when the stocks are refilled in japan

RE: My small DS Site

Lol...

Does the PSP appeal to you because you don't have one to get bored of either?

I bet you won't get as easily bored of the PSP because you won't have long to play it after each charge.

Ha ha ha funny guy.

I dont care if it last 3 hours. I'll be using it mostly at home with the charger attached.

Go play tiger woods and do so called "drifts" in RR.

Re: RE: I

Wow you got me good. I guess I should go back to enjoying my DS.

Oh yeah, the "drifts" in RRDS use the same physics as the "Original Drift System" Namco refer to in Ridge Racers for PSP, but you'd have to be good at the game to know that.

Sounds like a great way to game, next to a wall or always checking your battery meter. That's like a game in itself, I can see how you'd be kept on your toes using a PSP, exciting!

Why don't you play a PS2, if you're at home so much. It will have better graphics and the same type of games.

Are you making an assumption taht Tiger Woods is a bad game? If so, then you are mistaken. Even though I don't have it, I have heard nothing but good things about it.

Ridge Racer will probably be the same on the PSP, just with better graphics. So the so called drifts in the DS version will be the same in the PSP version.

I wasnt assuming that Tiger woods suck. Hell I love golf games. I was trying to get at x999x for cracking a wise ass comment.

Yes, sadly, when you've gotten that "good" at RidgeRacer, you start to take advantage of the physics engine and see how "fancy" you can get with your turns. I doubt you've seen 360 drifts in RR until now, and it'd prolly suprise you to find out it's applicable on every RR game except RR Evolution which is the least popular of the franchise because it's sim racing and not acrade...

Now you know why Namco say "Original Drift System" all over the RidgeRacers box, and on all the promotional material. This "wacky" drift system is revered the world over and Namco knows it.

The PSP doesn't appeal to me one bit at the minute. But as soon as games like Metroid, Final Fantasy and the other 90 odd awesome games in development for the DS come out, i'm sure you'll come running back to your beloved DS, wondering why you abandoned (sp?) it.

RE: Gmail Invites

I happen to like the PSP, but having a new version of RidgeRacer as my only gaming outlet just doesn't make me want to import it as I normally would with a new handheld or console. Don't get me wrong, I can play RR all day, but the new turbo boosts hardly make it worth while, especially since the best track is still the original, which it has, and is prolly the only track I'd be playing the most after I beat the game.

Simply for software reasons, I opted for the DS. The DS had a more diverse software launch, although I will admit there were only 4 good games of the lot. Even so, the diversity between the 4 was enough to make my decision. The other big plus is the GBA compatibility. I'm still pleased with the GBA's graphics, especially with the newer games, they look lightyears better than the best SNES games ever did. That said, my gaming library is never stale, and if I'm not playing a DS game, I'm still playing my DS, because the visual quality is better than SP, and most importantly, you get stereo sound without having to wear headphones :) Killswitch is sooo cool on DS!!!!
