I don't think I'm going to invest in a PSP,
but I do agree with x999x... It's pretty sad there are no great games for the DS out yet. Really, name one great game that isn't available anywhere else. The only game I really play right is Super Mario 64 DS, and that's just port of a really great N64 game. If there was a place to rent DS games, that would be another thing. I can't see spendin' $46 (ca) on yoshi touch and go, or Pac Pics, and I can't think of another game for the DS, that I really want (exect first hunt but I'll borrow that when I find some else who has DS). My girl friend loves Wario Ware touched, but I don't find as engaging as other games. As far as home brew goes, yeah it's pretty sad. I can't see being able to run homebrew for under $200 (ca) ($84 (US) for x-rom + $20 for PassMe + shipping for both) As I haven't heard of IDE or even a compiler for people like me to be able to program for the DS. (I don't know how to do one of those "hello world" programs for the DS) Even if Linux DS turns out to be a complete success (wich I don't see happening) it still won't be anything like standard Redhat and I have no idea how i would compile for it. If nintendo loved us they'd atleast throw java mobile on the DS so we'd have some place to start. EDIT: If Play-yan where built into the DS, i think it would really open up what could be done with DS. (There would be room for a cache file for broswing (CF/SD cards go up to atleast 1GB), and a 64MB SD/CF card is dirt cheap compared to 512Mb X-Rom)

RE: quotes
Agreed.
E3 tomorrow, Ninty was tightlipped compared to everyone else this year. As history has proven, this is generally a good sign for Nintendo, as they generally "drop the bomb" on the community each E3. Let's hope this "bomb" is figurative in that it's a software lineup that no gamer on earth should be without, or, let's pray this isn't in fact the "bomb" that defines the DS as yet another kids toy.
