Following reports that Sony only decided to implement motion-sensing technology into its PS3 controller after Nintendo unveiled the Wii remote, Worldwide Studios president Phil Harrison has declared that the company first began discussing the idea more than a decade ago.

In an exclusive interview with our sister site, GamesIndustry.biz, Harrison said Sony had been thinking about a developing motion sensitive controller "since 1994," adding: "But in reality you can't make some of the ideas that we have because the technology is not available in sufficient quantity or at a low enough price, and you kind of have to wait for certain things to converge."

Of course, by "thinking about it", they mean that one guy said it would be a good idea, and was immediately shot down. At least until the Revolution came along.

Well, that's part of life... life is about stealing and growing off other people's idea (or maybe in my own little world). >.>

But face the facts, it's now up the the games and how both companies impliment their motion sensors (although it's only 2D not 3D like Wii).

Ironically they only gave the Warhawk developers 10 days to make the controls before the conference. Developing since '94, eh?

It's all lies, just like when they said PSP was unrivalled, as if they think their audience is completely uninformed (which is probably the case with a somewhat small percentage of those Sony fanboys).
