He's too lame to learn how to play, it's his own loss...
Lkr, you might not like it, but by no means should you be debating against it with comments like crappy controls and VoIP and players, you haven't played it long enough and you aren't listening to the people that have.

I'll come here to end this:

Based on personal experience with both games (don't actually own either, but I've played them both online/offline extensively), I'd have to say that, hands-down, Metroid Hunters is the better game. It's simply more fun than Socom. Neither game appeals to me all that much, but I'd definitely give the edge to MP:H. Better VoIP really isn't an issue, as it sounds just as good on the DS (which is really saying something, due to the "lower-spec" nature of the DS against PSP). I prefer Metroid's controls anyway.

Hunters ftw!

If anyone says digital controls (like a D-pad in this case) is better for aiming in an FPS than a touch screen or mouse, I'm with some 99% of the world saying they're crazy. Same goes with the analog vs. mouse/touch screen debate, I'm with the some 60% of gamers of which play real games.

You'd be suprised at the amount of people who claim Dual Analog is better than mouse/keyboard. My neighbor does. I want to kill him over it. He wants to kill me over it. As a result, once this "Xbox Live Anywhere" deal comes out, which will finally allow multiplayer from PC to Xbox, we have decided to play against each other. I'm looking forward to it. I think the first game they used as an example of it was Shadowrun, but like I'm sure all the Anywhere games will be, Vista/360 exclusive.

Totally going to kick his ass.

Isn't there some sort of lame feature like auto-aim on some (if not most) analog FPS's to make it just about as easy as PC? Oh well even if that's the case I'm sure any average PC player could pwn an average console player.

Yeah, auto-aim is pretty normal in console FPS games to a degree, but you look at someone playing Halo on an Xbox vs someone playing UT on a PC, and tell me that auto-aim compensates. I suspect they'll either require that you use a 360 controller with your PC, or release a mouse/keyboard for the 360. Or possibly a 360 mouse for FPS games, that works like a mouse with plenty of buttons.

Obviously biggy is right, anyone with the right mind for real games that's played an equal amount of both games would agree, I'm confident in that even though I've never touched a PSP. I just watch what people say about both sides, and I've observed that the games for DS have better gameplay and more innovative features.
The voice quality is about as good as Teamspeak, the only real problem is that the built-in mic doesn't pick up very well from a distance so you need to move the Ds close to your mouth when you speak, which I've gotten used to (I still want a headset, which I might make myself if an official one isn't released).

Edit: I'm assuming Lkr hasn't even played MPH, or if he has it was only for a short time (not enough to get the hang of the controls or features).

You can compare certain aspects of them, which is what we're doing as far as I'm concerned.
