Mph Vs Socom

Tough call...I'm actually not a big fan of MPH's online play since the voice chat and custom games are limited to people who share FC's. However, in terms of actual game play...MPH blows Socom out of the water...I mean the autoaim just killed the game...plus even with the autoaim you take forever to kill the dang person. Also online the whole game is about people throwing grenades...it's annoying. MPH is just plain better, Metroid series or not... Oh and ShadowMarth, I actually find the dual analog system great as long as the game makers take their time. In Halo I'm amazingly accurate and it's not like it takes me forever to aim (if you want to see slow aiming play SOCOM FTB and use a sniper scope....oh my...) However it really depends on how the game has aiming set up...really in some games analog is fine.

Ok yoshi, I have to call you on the sheer idiocy of that last statement. First off, there are plenty of PC gamers. More than you might like to admit. Also, neither of the games in question are PC games. And PC fps games own Console sheerly out of control. That's one of the main reasons Hunters is so good, it emulates that control.

i don't really... being a mostly console gamer.

im used to both by now and they both feel fine... i don't have problems with either. i just prefer a controller in my hands.

i cant stand console fps shooters (except a few eception but they were on the n64) probaly why im not into metriod etc... on the gc but ill be getting at least one on wii to try out to see if i like it or not but im suspecting that it will will work fine but i have not liked.

o and i have played both games and while i dident keep mph i still have to say its a good with for multiplayer not over wi-fi only over lan wi-fi in my opion but as i dont know people who have or will get the game there was not much point for me to keep it.

but certainly mph is better in all ways as far as im concerened

I thought Socom was more of a tactical/strategic gameplay while Metroid is a hit and run gameplay.

And Socom isn't an FPS, it's a TPS =P

What exactly makes MPH bad over Wi-Fi for you? Sure there's some errors but it's not a whole lot, and there's almost no lag at all. The big plus about Wi-Fi is that you aren't limited to LAN play, so you can still play with real people when you can't meet up with someone personally to play. Many of us here have MPH and play online: biggy, chuddy, nmaster, and myself especially to name a few, as well as about 20 in the MPH FC topic. If you just don't really like the genre or Metroid then that's one story, but if you blame it on not having anyone to play with then I think it's clear you didn't give Wi-Fi a chance.

umm when did i say that was a a fact or even saying that you guys should agree with me i just gave my take on the game and how i feel its works over wi-fi (non lan) the key words are in my opion (weather its spelt correct or not) and even lan in its self has some quite bad lag issuses at times but thats not the point

i and i never said there was no one to play just is that is there people i want to play... not realy (except the odd one but not worth keeping for that)

games like this you will have alot better time with people all in the same room no matter what you say there nothing that will be as good as that

dude........ fyi, thats with EVERY game.

online is the next best thing.
