Yeah ummmmmm. you could still play PS1 games on the PS2 and there are more games for PS2 so if it's just cuz of the games on PS1 well then you like PS2. And I like N64. but even the PS2 is better than the Wii

I got to agree with Remas on this one, I feel that with the lessar games out at the mo, the PS2 woul have to be my fav right now (lets just wait for Metroid and Brawl...)

I liked PS1 more because of the RPGs and a few other games. N64 was still awesome on its own though. I really miss Banjo kazooie.. I hope that comes out in Virtual Console.

To deny the PS2 of what it was, Pilot, is just stupid. It was/is a fantastic console, had tons of great games, and its a success story because of this.

Probably the biggest selling point for PS2 was the DVD player, in much the same way that the big selling point for PS3 is the Blu-Ray player. I'm not saying that PS2 wasn't great, I'm just saying that the games weren't as original as the ones on PS1 were, by ratio of originals to sequels if that helps you understand what I'm getting at.
The PS1 was the most innovative, being the original console, and the PS2 just added a few things on top of what the PS1 did, but with everything considered there wasn't any major change beyond maybe the analog sticks, DVD player, and online capability.
I'm not saying the games were bad, I'm just saying I don't like seeing so many sequels and so little innovation. PS1 clearly had me covered with both originals and innovative games. I don't see how PS2 could've been worth it considering it was basically a PS1 combined with a DVD player and a few small features from a PC and the analog sticks and rumble from N64, all of which I already had except for the N64. PC has long since been my home gaming system of choice, especially ever since I got broadband in 1999 and because PC is superior in literally every way and could easily mimic consoles.
If I had the money to spend or rich parents to buy it for me, my opinion might be different and I probably would've been a Sony fanboy by now, but that's not the case so I'm a fanboy of Nintendo and PC. Well, I don't know about fanboy, I still see many of the negatives of them, but I strongly favor them since I see way more positives and far fewer negatives than Sony.
