Woah... no joking? The same thing happened to me. Well, except it started screwing up when I bought Zelda: WW (I had it since launch).

Sounds like Sony's loss on each sold PS3 is going to be even larger than the loss on their PS2 sales. Ah good old Nintendo, no loss in any of their console sales.

My GC has been fine as for all this time after that. I'm clueless as to why it stopped working.

RE: Re: Off to a bad start.

Mine went up the chute when I owned it for about 2 years, so i traded it in and bought a new one.

PS3 is gonna be an expensive piece of equipment. I wonder if any one will buy it...

RE: Re: RE: Lots of new media

Sony consoles are generally badly made. Lots of people have had problems with their PsOne's or PS2's, so they definately should not be praised for making good consoles.

Chuddy - money isn't an issue for Sony fans. They could name their price and it's guarenteed people will buy it. Just the way things are in that side of the market.

Some people might not agree with that though Euan, i mean my PSOne had nothing wrong with it whatsoever, and i reckon a lot of other owners would say their PSOnes and PS2's were also fine.

But on the other hand i know a few people that have had bad experiences with their Sony stuff, like broken disc trays and dusty lasers(that could be from bad handling though :D)

RE: Hello Sleepless Nights! (The AoE3 Story)

Well, the launch is where sony makes people mad... There's never a good launch for them. Not once in history has one of their game consoles made a defect-free launch. Heck, with the PSP they wouldn't even let people trade it in for months with one bad error, basically telling PSP owners to shove it up their ports. All a ploy to make sure that they had more second and third launches on the market so that they could say "oh look, only 10% of psp owners had the problem" when it was more like 40% of the first launch crowd with some sort of odd defect.
