PS3 Pricing Revealed

On a French radio program, the President and Vice President of Sony Europe apearantly talked about the price in Europe. They said specifically, between 499-599 Euros. That translates to $605-$726 strictly by exchange rates.

Holy crap this is gonna be so sweet because where i live no one has an xbox 360 and theyir parents wouldnt wanna spend that much on a ps3....SWEET THEN WE WILL HAVE LOTS OF PEOPLE WITH NINTENDO REVOLUTIONS...we already have only a few people with DSs

well it is pretty powerful for that price, it will be interesting to see if windows is ever ported and the system is benchmarked

will be cheaper i the usa then what the conversion rate states and you cant take that to the bank....

probably $499 or so...but the revo at $199 seems alot more appealing to me

i think this has been denied be sony. i think he was saying that if they sold the PS3 at €500-€600 it would be a very expensive console but a very cheap blue-ray player.
still it wouldnt surprise me if they decided to charge that much or more for it. after all they dont want to undermine their BRD players.
