Not four hours non-stop, but four hours in general. Even at home if you play say an hour a day, it is annoying having to charge it suddenly when your battery dies. But that's at home, the PSP is a PORTABLE. But unless you happened to be taking the plane from NYC to Rochester, or if your road trip is only to the corner store, the PSP isn't portable at all. Therein lies the problem.

RE: GBA Movie Player?

yea, its true. the PSP is hardly portable. i play my DS a lot, but it is mostly spread out. like i'll play in history class for 45 minutes, or play in the car ride home for an hour. with the PSP, you can't really do too much of that without recharging. even the PSP fanboys admit, most of the playing time is gonna be at home with the charger plugged in.

RE: Why you shouldn

For starters, Sony abandons its customers after the checkout. In response to one of the MANY glitches (the misalignment causing square button malfunctions), they said "Just adapt".

Cymoro writes "In an article Gamespot posted recently Ken Kutaragi, Sony Computer Entertainment president, was quoted in a japanese business magazine about the PSP square button defect as saying "There may be people that complain about its usability, but that's something which users and game software developers will have to adapt to." Apparently, flaws are a feature."

In the battery life area...
SetupWeasel writes "Gamesindustry.biz is reporting that "Sony Computer Entertainment boss Ken Kutaragi has admitted that graphically intensive games will drain the PSP's battery more rapidly than the quoted figures." Sony also said that this would be corrected in future revisions of the hardware, but we know how well that plan worked for Nokia."

Also, this page of glitches is all you need to see to drop the PSP in the streets. Check out the videos of the UMD popping out. Hilarious!

RE: Nanostray Online!

The PSP was intended to be portable, but has so far failed. It's as if they just threw in some battery without even testing it. Portable gaming? Get a DS, it'll last without a charge longer. That, or get a gaming laptop with an awesome video card (those aren't very portable either, though).
