Why did Sony make PSP's battery die quick?
So it looks like it's used more than it really is.

Why did Sony make PSP a finger print magnet?
So it looks like it's used more than it really is.

Why did Sony ship less PSP's than the DS?
So it looks like it's more popular than it really is.

Why did Sony make PSP easy to break?
You get the drift...

RE: Confirmed dat for Goldeneye: Rogue Agent (uk)

Lol. I don't remember anything about a PSP shortage, but I seem to remember the shortage of DS...

RE: Confirmed dat for Goldeneye: Rogue Agent (uk)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but even though there were some twice as many DS's shipped for launch as the PSP, DS sold to the point where some 95% of stores were sold out, while PSP only got to some 85%. I'm totally guessing from what I think I remember, so I could be totally wrong as far as the numbers, but I think I'm on the right track that DS sold out more than PSP.

The DS outsold the PSP in quantity. In sell through, they're nearly even in units produced vs units sold, with Ninty having the advantage.

The DS also had the luck of the xmas buying season, combined with the fact that it's 100 dollars less expensive than a PSP. Very good move by Nintendo if you ask me, primarily because that's what sony did with the ps2 in being first to market, and we all know how well the ps2 did in reigning as the number one console on the planet for the passed five years. This made it impossible for the GC to ever catch up, putting in it race to be 2nd against he xbox, which ironically is even doing better than the GC at this point in time.

Lessons learned by Nintendo, they're not going to be 2nd anymore, at least on their watch. I look forward to them fighting the good fight, as Sony's product has them outbid in that department.
