RE: Confirmed dat for Goldeneye: Rogue Agent (uk)

Yeah, I agree as well. About christmas though, it's a good thing they did, but because of the rush to get it out by christmas the companies didn't have time to get their big titles out. We should be seeing some good stuff pretty soon though.

It was sheer luck they managed to cobble together enough games for an adequate launch. That's not to say we're still waiting for substantial games. Traditionally, Ninty tend to launch with a much more robust library of games, with many more filtering soon after. This isn't the case with the DS, it was rushed to market, and "luckily" they didn't faulter. The gamble paid off, it's gimmickry of a touch screen was only complimented by their artificial shortages. Nintendo historically releases a small initial shipment, with larger shipments following the week after. This helps create, and reinforce a false demand, and can be traced back to Nintendo's Zelda II: Link to the Past follies which were investigated by 20/20 of all news organizations.

Sony on the other hand is new to this strategy, and ultimately just dumped their entire stock on the market. It's availability did nothing to create a demand, artificial or not.

Nintendo's xmas launch took a lot of work, cost us the Black version of the DS (listed on your box), and was a gamble that could have backfired and exposed them in a negative light as Zelda II did, which they blamed on false reports of IC chip shortages. LoL! This is why I consider their DS lauch successfully Lucky...

RE: Red Alert for the DS

chuddy, once again a great joke. i cant think of any right now though. Well I got to tell ya a little funny thing a neighbor said
He said that the PSP has the best graphics ever. When i told him that any console's graphics were better(i mean current generation) he said well, thats your opinion, when it is a proven fact.
so, he also said that the DS and GCN are the same thing. He said listen to me: they have the same buttons. I told him so. Does the GCN have two screens? touch screen? i think not. Then he said well, the PSP has an LCD. I told him the DS has two.
As you can tell, i get into a lot of arguments with him...other things he has said:
There is a mario game for PS2
he pronounced Asphalt Urban Assault Urban
There you have it...another case of idioticness
