I dont see why sports games get so much credit either: the only decent sport game I have ever played was mario football, ahem.

^Thats interesting... still, 10,000 PS3s, what a hefty bill. Is it just me, or are sonys consoles usually better suited to other things rather than actual gaming..?

It's probably going to be close between 360 and the Wii. The PS3 is pointless.

Ok, so that article did sway me a bit when I saw that a week or two ago Bignads, but I already donate my spare cycles to SETI on my PC. On a console however, I see a problem with distributed computing. Running this somewhat experimental cell processor, I doubt it's a good idea to have that sucker running at full capacity at all times of the day. The thought that it could do this WHILE playing a game is pretty ludicrous. It would lead to definite problems, as if the programming wasn't hard enough already for developers. Frankly though I think they're just blowing smoke here, looking for news coverage. If they do this, I'll send Bignads $10.
