wii probabley, because its the cheapest is the only reason really...
I think playstation 3 will have the best games over all, but its just to stupidly expensive. and the xbox 360 is emm... just that... Last edited by xashfordx; 16-01-2007 at 09:59 PM. |

nah, i still think it could be close, but i just think the price wins it for wii..
I mean, its not really that amazing, so yeh, a few little hand movements and what not... but... not really amazing. its just the price, even though... im still not getting one until like years to come. LoL (i would rather have a wii than a playstation 3 or an x box 360 cuz like, i have a ps2, i have an x box, ive done them now, time to move on to another one) |

The Wii will win for 2 reasons: First, price. Second, hitting the non-gamer market. Just look around, the mainstream press is crazy for Wii. And the stories of how non-gamers have been loving the Wii have been pouring in like crazy since it's release. It's a shut deal...

yeah, your probabley right, hmm..
I just dont get what the big fuss is about really... i mean, i dont really think its anything that special, its ok as games consoles go, you have your litle movements that you do and all the silly fun like that, but to me, i dont really see that as very special. |

It's not as groundbreaking as you would think in all reality, at least in your average case. But look what it's doing for non-gamers. First time my dad's played a video game in, ever? The only thing I've got my mom to play besides Wii Sports is Brain Age...
That market that Nintendo is hitting so well is huge on a scale we gamers probably don't quite understand. The other systems seem designed with the hardcore gamer in mind. The 360, with it's decent lineup and couple hardcore titles, has managed only 8 million sales in a little over a year. The Wii pulled 4 million in a little over a month. PS3's are sitting on shelves. The gamer market just isn't as big as many think it is. Nintendo saw that years ago and planned for it, and now we're seeing that genius come to fruitation. Seriously, Blue Ocean Strategy, awesome book. It explains everything Nintendo is doing from a business standpoint. It's sheer genius. They can't lose...

I posted about this somewhere else, but my mom never plays fast-paced games, it's all puzzle games, and she almost instantly got hooked on ExciteTruck (screaming at every jump and clump of trees). My dad doesn't play many games either, he's more into war strategy games, and he got hooked on ExciteTruck instantly (although he laughs through most of the race). It's like Wii penetrates into a parallel dimension of parents.
