Why the PS3 Will be a Flop

If it were just a matter of profit, well, Nintendo would be the only one that DIDN'T flop last generation... It's certainly not that. Generally, a flop is when a console simply doesn't catch on at all. People may know about it, but very few buy it. The Gizmondo is a perfect example of a major flop.

Correct term here would be either 'financial success'/flop or 'commercial success'/flop. The GC was a financial success, but it could be viewed as a commerical flop.

err biggy, i put the most expensive 360 unit. and only the more expensive PS3 supports HDMI, wireless, and the 20GB harddrive on the other is non-upgradeable, so all-in-all the other one is a major rip off.

Well I dont think the PS3 will be a total flop, I mean there ARE SOME Sony fans out there....That are willing to pay that high price for all of that.....like my dad...(Not me though)

I agree with you...for once....

He told me he freaking test BETA games for PS2, so what makes this any different? And his PSP, which he claims to not have any more and sold...and now calls it gay.

There is no chance on this earth that the PS3 will flop. The PsOne and 2 were such rip-roaring successes that a sequel can only sell. People are willing to pay money for "quality" - what sells more: Nike t-shirts or a £2.99 unbranded T-shirt?

Having read your opening post, LKR, I completely disagree with you. You do not need an HDTV for the Xbox 360 or PS3: they both work on normal TV's. Plus you did not take into consideration the fact that Wii owners may not have the required TV, while you did for the other two.

I fully expect a "Wii sucks" topic this time next year...
