Why shouldn't you buy portables?

Similar to ECMF's thread... why buy portables? It's not like you're going to play all day and if you're at home, you can just play the normal console.


PS. My mind isn't here right now so this thread is probably really stupid. Since I have a DS and contradicting my own actions ;_; I need sleep.

Portables are great for kids.
I only had a gameboy as a child.
They don't tie up the television, (nore require partents to buy one)
plus they are great for car trips.

Portables are also great for people who travel, or for people who have time kill...
I could use one for between classes at school...
easier then lugging my laptop around

I agree, and you get quality games on portables that you don't get on Consoles e.g. Golden sun series, Superstar saga and the massive hit: Minish cap this is only to name a few.

Portables are also useful for kids whos parents hate them using the TV thus hiding away in the corner. Trust me, ive been there.

honestly, i played GBA more than my gamecube or xbox.

I wiah i could say the same i havent played on a GBA game for ages im stuck to 4 swords atm.
