I need a thumb strap before I get into any serious competition in MPH, and it'll probably be a month or two before I order one. I want to be sure I can afford to have another damaged DS in 6 months.

We've pretty much given up on getting the clan "back on its feet", not enough members care for MPH and it never really was on its feet in the first place.

That's you. You barely played any FPS on PC, so I see how you can get used to the stylus more. With the thumb strap I could keep my fingers on all the buttons and thus react quicker to any situation, that's very difficult/uncomfortable to do with the stylus.

Point is, I'm much more comfortable using the thumb strap for FPS on DS whether you like it or not, and I don't want to play competitively if I'm not comfortable with my controls. I'll probably be looking into one of those "thumb stylus" things which I think would be more friendly to my screen since it wouldn't be able to grind grit into the screen nearly as much.

Dom...Spire wouldn't be able to handle this clan match.
