About the clan

I think to take part in the clan you should have a certain number of posts or be with te site a certain number of time, say two months as an active poster.
This will stop people just joining to get in, possibly mess it up and then just leave and not ocntribute to the site.

Yeah that's a good idea, i wouldn't say a certain number of posts, but just a certain time at the site or an active poster.

Maybe the person just needs to join the site and ask to go on a waiting list that we clan members have weekly votes on. That way we can discuss if the person deserves to be in early or deserves never to be in (in which case we could have a blacklist of sorts). We could also have tryouts, playing ability isn't what a clan is all about, it's about having fun with friends, which is unfortunately something some clans sacrifice in order to get good at the game, which I experienced first hand about a year ago.

Well, Blayke, you've got over 500 posts so you couldn't be overlooked.

Some people were active posters at one time but now post more sparingly. I'm probably the opposite, only posting regularly for the past month or two...

Well, I think we should admit any forum members who have been around for more than a month the first day it's created, so that we all get in as the base group. I like the voting idea, and participating in the forums should be important, but no post count.

It's a tough one. I think initially it should just be the mods in there, if they want to accept the membership to the clan. Then, after that, I reckon it should be a voting process.

Initially, it'd be best for the clan to be comprised of the most reputable members (mods included). Then, we could slowly start adding in more members.
