Gold Membership Holder

I'm one, Mormon and DSdude are one.. among many other members of this site. Ok, basically I have come up with a cunning idea.

I wanted to give some of the best and experienced members of Touchds.com an incentive/reward kind of thing for just being a major part in the community so I came up with a TDS.com Gold membership holder title. It's a usergroup for people who have been with us for at least a year OR made groundbreaking commitments to Touchds.com and/or been a very helpful member.

--Being a Gold membership holder will give you some extras that Silver membership holders get; stuff like:

--A VIP area of the site, this may include a devoted Forum space for the Gold membership holders.

--They will be the first members we will go to when recruiting.

--More exclusive stuff! (which I haven't thought of yet >_>)

In the next week or so I'll be adding people to the list of Gold Membership status (GMS) but you won't notice anything different... yet :P

a very nice idea. the private forum concept is great...itll be far less effected by useless posts and stuff.
is everyone who has been here a year guranteed gold membership or do they still have to do great things?

Nope, not reeeaalllly to a certain extent, if you were here a year ago but you haven't at all then no... but if you've been here for a year then that kind of automatically puts you in Gold Status.

i dont want to start a huge flame war, but chuddy, please dont say it was all your idea. i gave u the idea to begin with, and you know that. so you shouldn't take all credit. although you are doing more than what i said, it is building off of what i said, so please just give me a lil credit :P

i dont think this is the way to go as the main posters on this site will get gold memberships...... which will be most of the active people on the site anyway.... which is no good considering we get alot of guest for the reason that they like the site and read the forums... and if most good topics go to the vip room then we will lose guests and potential memberswe should not be focusing on excluding guesst from certain area of the site and restricting access to new member as this is no way to keep them coming back and the site growing as well

you need to focus on new ways of accpting member such as when you apply for membership it is not just given the mods or preferably admins have to accept them... then they become a member (there are lots of diffrent ways this can be done too just dont excluding lots of people for one dic-k head that caused some troble for a few days)
