Wait. Baronen, what would force you that bad to make you come into the Intro forum anyway? I mean, do you honestly have someone who's got your testicles in a vice grip forcing you to peek into every single board?
I mean, let's be realistic here. We're not shoving a sack of potatoes down your throat. We're simply trying to improve communication. Oh, and about the "smiling, hugging, and being friends" crap. WTF? What are you on, my man, it seems to be really strong. I want some too. Sure, we'll welcome the newcomers, but we won't suck up to them. In fact, I don't even remember a time where anyone has sucked up to another member. Seriously, Baronen. I understand your opinion, but the way you are going about voicing it is all wrong. No need to be arguing with the other members. All we were asking for is your opinion, and a discussion of the matter, not a full-on assault on opinion. Chill. |

Mhmm. So we gonna hug or what Baronen? :P
If anything, we could just make it a sub-section of the Lounge. I really see no harm in it. At least there, it wouldn't be in the way. Hell, with the shoutbox, we wouldn't even need the forum. Bah, I'm sticking to my idea... |

Oh yes, before I forget: DSdude, and speaking from personal experience here of course, welcoming-threads usually breaks down to some guy saying "hi", and everyone else welcoming him with hellos and happy smily faces. I don't find that the least constructive and neccessary, but hey, that's just me. Edit: Fast bastard, aren't you. But yes. I would like to hug you now.

Yeah, but most of the people chiming in with the "Hi!" and the "Hello! Welcome!" 's are usually akin to rainbows. Homosexual, I would say. Like the word blog (as if I haven't stated that enough).
Then again, it would be heavily moderated. So anything too cheeky and lovey would be deleted. The new members would also be forced to reveal some information about themselves. And, as you very well know, not everyone enjoys the same things. So, members would be welcome to discuss (notice: agree and disagree) that sort of junk. Oh, and make note. I'm not just speaking directly to Baronen here. I'm speaking to pretty much everyone. |

Yes. I can't be bothered to evaluate anymore than I've already done, however, I will say this: U r al g4y. And that it will be pretty hard to decide if "Yes, welcome to the forums, I also enjoy horse-riding. What is your favorite horsey?" is spam when the thread-starter mentions horse-riding as one of his main interests. Lines will be blurry.
Babble-babble.
