It needs to be falsh because being in GIF makes the file way too big to put on the site... people with dial-up would have no hope let alone people with a low speed broadband connection ^^,

We are fine with gif or jpg - in fact I think I would prefer it.

Although it would be good if you could run it through an optimizer to make it a little smaller.
Once its loaded for a visitor, it should remain cached, so I'm not too bothered about the size.

If not we may need to look at converting it to a format that is much smaller - or remove the animation...... ?

I can make it to a flash easy... its just i want it to have a loader. If it did not have you would see frame by frame by frame of it load so... i don't understand flash i tired writing a "ProgressBar component" but... its no good i don't understand

Just make the first frame the loading screen. Don't need anything else.

its going to load every frame unless.. oo i can make it closed for about 5 seconds while it waits it can load? so you can see is all smooth like
