The old layout was streamlined for content. This new layout isn't as much, and it's kinda had an effect on the content stream. I, for one, feel that it doesn't have the same "zing!" as it used to. TDS is just a big forum now, and it doesn't feel as website-y as it used to, back when I could write a review (or two).

Just make the front page the same as it used to be. Leave the forums. That takes care of most of the hassle.
