dude, lets vote! i wanna keep the ability to have more than 1 sig

Well, even running at 1024x768 as I am right now, the most I get is 2 posts at a time. I really prefer to read posts without having to scroll down every few seconds. And what of the people who are running at an even SMALLER resolution? It's just a problem that can prevent people from wanting to view the forums.

On chuddy's note, yes, we are working on a way to do a "click-to-see-sig" method. And, unfortunately, this may be implemented without question. Sorry guys.

I don't know if it works with PNphpBB2, but it does with with phpBB2:

It allows users to disable the viewing of signatures in their profile.

Allen and Dave are already well under way with talks on how to do so. We really are sorry guys but we've had a number of complaints from a number of NON-MEMBERS regarding this.

Some changes will be good, some not. It justs has to happen of we want more traffic.

I respect your opinion, Gene but are you that lazy that you can't scroll down a few cms which takes about 0.5 seconds to do.

I hope that hack gets implicated so people can stop whining and we can live in harmony <3

That's a very large resolution. More pixels per inch than 1024x768, so you get a larger viewing area. And if he has such a large resolution, and can only see 2-3 posts per "scroll", then there is a slight problem there.

so you don't care about the member's opinions? every other forum i've ever been to does not force you to have only 1 pic in your sig, so why should we?

honestly i think the whole thing is stupid, no one complained about sigs until now, and most of us have had the same sigs for a very long time.

They do care about the current member's opinions, which is why their compromise is to have the signatures still available via a click. If they didn't care this would have been over a long time ago by disabling signatures altogether.

How many forums do you frequent? Five? Fifteen? 100? I don't know about the forums you visit, but a lot of the boards I frequent are more concerned with content, rather than pretty or cool signatures, so they set limitations or disable them altogether.

Don't you care about TouchDS.com? Don't you care that it gets new members? Don't you care about it being here a few months from now? If traffic continues to dwindle I doubt the owner/administrator will continue to shell out money to keep it running. Keep in mind that the administrators are attempting to bring people in, and as chuddy indicated earlier, the signature problem is something people are complaining about.

When someone new to a site finds it unattractive, annoying, or hard to get content from, they typically just move onto another. I was around TouchDS before the signatures started becoming a problem, so I'm actually complaining. If I looked at the forums for the first time last week I never would have come back; I wouldn't have attempted to contact a moderator or admin. It's that bad to me.

But until now, the problem has arose and become a concern for non-members. Having this as an obstacle and stopping non-members from joining the site causes lack of traffic and loosing members because of this is a matter that we can't just simply forget about.

Yes we do consider what members have to say without a doubt but what the moderators and administrators choose to do is final. We will asure that the change is for the best and will improve the site, not degrade it.
