TouchDS.com Updates - 05/16/06

There has been quite a few changes around the site (in particular, the forums) lately, as many of you have noticed. We've seen changes in the shoutbox's look, some additions to our forum staff, and even a new usergroup. Souinds like a lot in just a short time, thinking in terms of the progression of change seen on the site in the past. Things always seem to change within an instant, or so it seems. Well, it's only best that you, the members of this site, are informed of these changes. It directly affects you, and you should be directly told what is currently happening.

Shoutbox Changes - A rather minor change in comparison to the other changes that went on. The addition of a "format toolbar" has appeared at the top of the shoutbox, allowing various ways to format your text size, color, strength, etc. Also of note is the fact that the name of the user who posted a shout is now bolded, rather than lacking a bold font face as it did before. This may very well remain temporary.

Additions to our Moderation Team - Perhaps the largest of changes, we have added two new moderators to our forum moderation team here at TouchDS.com. Congratulations to both ShadowMarth and Pilot_51 for their new status and privileges as Moderators. They only moderate select forums, but they are still moderators and should be acknowledged as such. They are indeed amongst the most active of our members and are completely capable of handling any situations that arise when the rest of our moderator team aren't around. Being very active members, expect to see problems resolved sooner than later. It should help create a nicer environment. This decision is only subject to change in the even of a unanimous opposition to it, as is any position of power at the site.

New Usergroup? The Pioneers - A rather experimental addition as of right now. This in no way affects the Gold Membership usergroup, and should not be regarded as such. The Pioneers usergroup is essentially a placeholder for certain original members that will be used in future additions to the site. Initially, they were given certain "priveleges" that would otherwise be exclusive to those in authority. This was a very experimental addition and is NOT final. Such privileges have been revoked, and should therefore be disregarded. If there is a Pioneer member that still has a "custom user title" that isn't a moderator/super moderator/administrator, please inform the aformentioned individuals of authority immediately so that it can be changed. For now, the Pioneers have NO OTHER privileges that regular members don't. This may change in the future (read: distant), but as it stands right now they are just regular members.

So that's the gist of it. Three additions to the site in the past few days or so. All part of the everchanging site. Please do not be concerned of any future changes, as these changes will be levied to ensure equal opportunity for all members. There's your TouchDS.com update for May 16th, 2006. You may now engage in your discussion of said changes/additions.

yay just what the sites needs more mods... as we have so much increase in active member that we need the same amount of mods as we do active member if not more mods...

+this was not verified with chuddy when you did it in the first place and he is basicly the number one person who is in charge of the site who is active...

That should really go in my sig. Its kinda true though, the number of mods will soon, if not already, start to rival the number of active members.
