Maybe... I'm just thinking about what I could do. Maybe capture some audio effects for the game music... meteos. Putting some of that music in the background as ambient music would be absolutely perfect.

The sounds sets... WOO!

We don't even need to start it as a podcast, we could just put the mp3 file online without a feed and it'll work fine, that just means people would need to grab it manually instead of a podcast client getting it for them. We of coarse plan to get a full podcast feed going before too long, but it's not mandatory to get the show started.

Just my comments on ShadowMarth's points:
1. Yes, I'm in control, but that doesn't mean I won't do just about anything you guys want me to do.
2. I had that in mind awhile ago, members submitting recordings is a great way to make the show interactive, and maybe just about all of them will get on if their clean and to the point of interest (being TouchDS and what it stands for).
3. True, I just hope I don't take too much time being a perfectionist.

Edit: I'll probably use Audacity to edit and whatever voice com we're using (TeamSpeak in this case) to record.

Cool, but we could always both submit it as a podcast and an MP3 on the site. Anyway, what's the program you use for sound editing?

I edited my last post to answer the editor program question, it's Audacity. I also put it in the details on the first post.
The podcast feed is just a page that a podcast receiver client can read, the feed links to the mp3's which could be downloaded manually from a link or using a podcast receiver.

What? What's this about teamspeak? Teamspeak has horrible lag, and it sounds horrible. If we just have one main host or two hosts then we could just record solo or use Xfire, which is much cleaner. We could just record any ouside reports ourselves to make sure we get it right, and submit them. A little intro, and bam, just edit in the story.

We're not firm on it yet, we just want to try it out first and if it doesn't turn out we could move on to something like Gizmo. I don't think TS sounds that bad at Speex 9.3Kbit or higher. It will remain the primary voice com.

Dude, why do you need to use teamspeak at all? It would be easier to manage and produce, and probably come out longer and higher quality if you just recorded stories separately and spliced them in. Then you get premium quality, no lag, and you can modify it however you like.
