Thanks for the heads up on the new version nmaster. BTW aside from the usual PC hardware and other mandatory costs like an ISP, just about everyone is going for a free podcast, which isn't that hard if you already have a means of distribution.
I'm still not sure what's really the best option for recording, the Gizmo quality is kinda down there. As for the other features, I'm liking Skype for the free PC to phone and Gizmo for the free phone to PC.
My friend has apparently been too busy to come online for awhile now, so if he remains busy like that much longer I might just start with a different co-host. If you want to be a part and you notice me online, toss me an IM or call me or hop in TS. If my perfectionist personality doesn't jump out and I have enough time on hand I should be able to get a podcast started in a few minutes and possibly released within 30 min after it's done.
Edit: My friend just graduated last week so now he should be a lot more free, we planned the first podcast for tomorrow evening around 8PM EST. We've got some good topics in mind, particularly around Nintendo, as well as some others of interest such as PC hardware and games. The podcast isn't timed any any way, meaning it could be as short as 5 minutes or as long as 2 hours, depending on how much we have to talk about. As I said, I won't worry about the overall quality of the podcast, I won't edit it just to make us sound better, but I'll probably bleep out any swearing and toss on a crummy intro/outro, over time I'll improve how the podcast plays out to turn it into something (hopefully) great.
