true pc has a lot of great games, but a console is stable a pc is in need to be constantly upgraded... but yeah doesnt phase me ive never had a gaming quality pc and i have higher priorities atm like a bed, car etc :P

well usually if u wait for the right time u can get a high end graphics card for cheap and not have to upgrade for a very long time. my radeon 850xt pro has lasted me over 6 months, maybe even almost a year i cant remember when i quite bought it. and by 6 months i want better graphics, more people on the screen to kill, etc. basically i can upgrade whenever i want and not have to wait like....4 years for the next console to come out.

yeah thats true as well i dunno ive allways enjoyed the simplicity of a console.. no real compatibility issues... but yeah pc gaming has its lures but hmm i dunno im happy with the curent graphics id just like better physics and more gameplay tweaks in games...

EDIT: i just tried to install the university expansion for sims 2 and it reminds me of why they can be annoying :P they allways wanna updates themselves and do all this damn veryfying... i dont have the DL limit for patches haha :P meh small peeve but my wii is the same so cant talk...

BF1942 is still alive and kicking, with a few hundred servers online at any time.
Also as said after that post, get the UT2004 demo, it gives you a good idea what to expect from the full version (not skimped on features) and full version players can join demo servers, so I could join any server you're in.

actually heres a technical question... i was playing the sims 2 and well its hot here :P but umm it suddenly started lagging REALLY bad... like one minute in game took 30 secs real life to load in live mode...

then when i minimized and brought up my pc properties my processer said it was a 798 mhz instead of 1.8ghz... do some laptops do this when they overheat??? coz once the game had been off a bit it went back up to 1.8 ghz... or is it some kinda powersaving function or what... coz its really irratating... ill play and then it suddenly goes slow as...

EDIT: incase you wana know its a compaq presario v2000 i think... the processer is a AMD sempron M 3000+ 1.8ghz

but seriously here ive never had a laptop or AMD before so is it normal for the processor to like lower the clock speed if it gets too hot or something... coz i mean P1's and such just conk out if they overheat...

I think the overall heat was just making it go crazy, try going to a cooler room and see if it works then.
