I'm curious why they left out the thumb strap, is there a better alternative they're relying on? As you should know, lots of people including myself swear by the thumb strap for Metroid, using the stylus for such fast-paced action gets crampy and generally uncomfortable rather quickly.

yeah, but the DS Lite stylus makes that SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better...
