Predictions != After-market reviews

Now, judging based on reading review content and gameplay impressions is a different story. By all means do, 'cause that will just further prove my point about SF:C and NSMB. GameSpot especially notes those control issues...

but yeah, im not a mainstream person, so i don't even bother looking at reviews when i want to get a game. i go for the games i tend to like, not just the great-reviewed ones
Now, not liking certain genres is a totally different matter. I'm talking about two games of two genres you generally like equally, or are the same. I hate sports and racing games, and I don't care if the next NASCAR game got a 16 out of 10, I still wouldn't go near it with a 10 foot pole. It follows that if you hate platformers, or didn't like the original Mario, your not gonna enjoy NSMB the same as most people...

Probably the most important aspect, which is hard to determine early on, is the lifetime (or replay value) of the game. Generally, multiplayer games have the longest lifetime, especially online games where you can always find people to play, where the challenge can always keep up to your own skill, and SFC falls in that category.

Hey, welcome!
Yeah, have a good look around, and if you play DS Wi-Fi, then you'll love this place.
