Really, really good fps with a twist. You get these things called plasmids that give u magical abilities, like setting poeple on fire and telekinesis.

Everything is customizable, to what plasmids you have equipped, to what and how to upgrade a weapon, and "tonics" which are like stat boost in certain ways when you equip them (my favorite is the one that increases my fire damage... its always fun setting things on fire and just watching them die...) Its a decently long game with some nice plot twists.

Also, the enviroment is nice in two ways. First is the graphics....simply astonishing in HD. Second is the ability to mess with anything... I mean throwing a tank of gas at someone with telekenisis, then watching it explode in their face.. or throwing grenades back at the people who throw them at me... its just awesome and a lot of fun.

The game has a "scary" effect to it too, where sound effects and random attacks make the game have that good scary shooter feel. THen there are the big Daddys and the Little Sisters. I wont get into what they are for and such...but fighting a Big Daddy is tough if you dont know what you are doing (electric bucks + shotgun = great great strategy).

Well, since I'm high thats my short review of Bioshock...lol

I'll give it a 9/10, only cause theres no multiplayer at all, and all FPS games should have multipalyer lol.

yea...i own it and beat it... and its kinda on the 360 board so im gonna assume I have it for the 360. =P

Yep, I have this game... got it as soon as I got off the plane from Greece. It's a mind-blowingly awesome game that's so polished even the game box catches my eye when I walk past it. Looks GREAT on a 42" HD Plasma and also dolby pro logic II helps the situation.

I've played it, but not alot of it, tell me, does it have some RPG elemts?Or is upgrading and customizing the only rpg-ish element there.

It does feel alot like an RPG but handles and looks primarily like a FPS. Yeah, you're right, customizing and upgrading is a classic RPG element but it isn't exactly "in-depth". I mean you won't be spending hours on upgrading, more minutes than hours. Another key element is exploration and freedom - by this I mean it's quite easily accesible to switch to one zone of Rapture to another. Annnd also there is collect item missions... which to be honest feels a little dated. After all Bioshock had been in development for over 2 years. Hope that helped a tad.

Compared to System Shock 2, it barely has any RPG elements. SS2 was really heavy on that, but fortunately that didn't harm the gameplay much aside from weapons breaking after so much use and requiring single-use maintenance tools. BioShock maintains much of the SS2 feel without the potentially frustrating RPG elements. I like how they essentially copied the hypo sound directly from SS2 into BioShock as well as a number of other gameplay aspects, it makes BioShock feel more like a sequel (even though it really isn't) which is something I've been wanting for a long time.
