Well, you can say Halo is "hardcore", but that's just ridiculous. After all, maybe it does take more skill to get even half the capability. But the same could be said of a bicycle with square wheels.

I hate whole console FPS debate. People who ***** about console FPS's most likely don't even have access to decent console FPSs.

On the other side of things, I too vote that Halo is the most over rated thing since the Wii.

What is a decent console FPS? Halo? The control mechanism stops it from being "decent" compared to any PC FPS.

You could say that. I've played it a good bit, and I play decently, but compared to the "hardcore", I do suck. However, that doesn't make it any less dual analog.

The thing that bugs me about dual analogs is that it feels so slow after playing a PC game. Takes me a few minutes to "re-calibrate" my hands.

It's a very different method of control, which takes time for people to get used to a switch either way. I try to look at it from a technological standpoint. In this case PC FPS being better because aiming is as fast as you can move your hand no matter what your sensitivity setting while analog is limited by the range of the sticks, and having such small sticks increases the margine of error and makes it really hard to aim accurately without autoaim (which is cheating for PC and unrealistic for everything). Analog also takes more fine-tuning to find the preference for best balance of sensitivity for both quick spins and accurate aiming, which even when perfect can't beat the capabilities of a perfectly configured PC FPS.
