Halo Wars

Halo is turned into an RTS game in Halo Wars. I think this should be very interesting and I can't wait too see what this game will turn out like once it's finished. What do you think?

It's being developed by Ensemble. That reason alone would've made me buy it. However, it being about Halo only cements my anticipation for it. I honestly can't wait to see some gameplay.

Hmm sounds interesting.
May give it a go, but all my RTS excitement is going towards C&C3

No, this game already sucks. It looks freaking cool, but it's on a console. An RTS, on a console. That's all folks.

Dude, have you even played LOTR BFME II on 360? It controls beautifully. Don't even start with that "it's on a console, so it sucks" attitude. I know that a good console RTS can be done. To be fair, though, that's the main hurdle devs have to jump in order to make the RTS on a console not suck.

On another note, seeing as how that was published by EA... I should damn hope that Ensemble can do an even better job.

I've seen the controls of BFME2. They're... Adequate, but they don't hold a candle to the mouse and keyboard. RTS games don't belong on the consoles for the same reason Fighters don't belong on the PC.

have you seen the real controls of bfme2? they don't even compare to the 360 version. the 360 version is HORRIBLE in comparison to the real game.

Well duh. You don't have easy access to the menus. Don't knock the 360 version til you've tried it. ;)

(i've played both, btw -- as it stands, BFME isn't anywhere near a great RTS anyway, it was just the first console RTS that I could think of)

Well, I hope they have cross-platform like they've been talking about. Just like in FPS games, the PC users will pwn absolutely.
